a woman walked 7 yards grabbed my top,digging her nails in me slapped me with her open hand,so automatically i slapped her back,with minimal force.she phoned the police before i did resulting in my arrest.why?

first the woman called before you, so that shows to the police that you were the aggressor. if you would have called first then they would think she was the aggressor. also the woman always seems to be the victim in the majority of domestic violence cases. so they are already having that in their mindset when they go out to these types of calls. but the police are smart and they must have found some sort of evidence to arrest you, because they won't arrest you with no cause.

Because she complained first.
I complained about my mad neighbour smashed all my windows with a golf club a few years ago. She heard me make the call, so rang the police herself.
When the old bill turned up they confused our addresses and visted her flat first thinking it was mine. Therefore she got her side of the story in first. By the time they came to me I was the bad guy.
Even though all my windows were shattered and her's were intact...

She called FIRST....It sucks but it's usually the law and how they've decided to solve a problem of who to arrest,when both want the other to be arrested. Believe me I know My ex had me locked up in the attic and couldn't call the police so I screamed for someone to call the police and finally the neighbors called the police and he was hanging around outside so he went up to them as if he called them.
I was locked in the attic and they arrested me, can you believe that crap? All I can say is to learn from this experience, and if you run into her again make sure you call first!

The law is not always fair. Stay on top of it. Present your case when the time comes. Guys hitting ladies usually does not go over well. If she hit first all you can do is run. Good Luck

Our law system is corrupt, simple as that. I was accused of stalking someone because they called the police first. Anybody can have you arrested with out "burden" of proof if they just call police first. That is messed up. Note: Im no stalker and I didn't even know the girl.

because instead of getting help (calling the police for instance) you slapped the lady back. think twice before ur doings- i know u were just defending ur self but thats how it is these days.annyway to tell u the truth i dont think a random women would just waalk up to you like that......are you forgetting somthing???

I don't know. She was obviously a sandwich short of a picnic. You slapped her in self-defence,shame the police spend so much time with their faces in a donut bag,instead of patrolling the streets

Shes done it before many times the cops take the first story and think the 2nd is false, fight it in court,
