it's never too late to start taking piano lessons. When your playing, use your right hand first, then use your left hand. After you can do both pretty good, sssssllllllloooooooowwwwwwllllllyyyyyyyy put them together. You can do it! just check in your phonebook. there are teachers that work independently for cheaper, but they will be able to help alot.

First off it is never too late to learn. And learning the Mortal Combat theme is not a joke, I don't think. You should learn to play what interests you, that will help you later when you start composing your own stuff. As far as playing with two hands I am sure there are plenty of way to teach you independence of your hands and feet. (also needed when playing the piano) I would suggest learning those same songs you can play with the right hand on the other end of the keyboard so you have to use your left hand. If you think of the piano as a basic instrument like any other that may help, Try tapping out rhythms like you were playing the drums, can you do that. Now try playing the rhythms with you fingers instead of hands, alternating your fingers rather than just pounding 1 finger. Another thing similar to the piano is your keyboard can you type with out looking at the keys using both hands? If so it probably took some time to learn to do that, the piano keys are the same they each represent 1 note (1 letter on computer) and are always in the same spot. The biggest thing however is practice, practice, practice. It will be worth the struggle in the long run. Keep on trying it will come. Good Luck!!!

Please understand that it's never too late. Another important factor with musical instruments is talent. If you don't have it, you can't really do it right. So now you've taught yourself some stuff for the right hand, harmonise with the left hand. If you're not sure how to harmonise, there are simple courses to take. Unfortunately, i don't have exact sites for you to check out, but i'm sure a simple google serch on "2-part harmony" may help. You may want to also consider learning to read music if you don't already know how, because it really truly helps. I've been playing musical instruments for 8 years now and im nowhere near as good as id like to be. GOOD LUCK!!!

you cant really teach someone how to play a musical instrument over the computer...just like it is impossible to teach someone how to play a sport over the phone or im..I have been on myspace groups before, i myself am a baton twirler..i have told people just like you that it is impossible to learn something over the computer..have you ever tried to explain how to make a basket in basketball..very complicated.. i would look up in the phone book for lessons..or see if one of your friends know how to play and could teach you..if it gets down to when your really frustrated.. by yourself a learn to play the electronic keyboard book, i did, and i can play both hands..if i had to teach myself how to play the clarinet, wow i would suck more then i already do..
hopefully this answered your question..

Try playing the left handed part first, and get that down. Once you do, get the right handed part down...then put them together...it's easier than trying to learn them both at the same time.

Look up a professional piano teacher and give them a call. Take a few classes and it will come to you. Don't push it. That will make you frustrated.

find a class and take it. there may also be a private teacher in your area. you can't learn on your own.
