OK. It's behind the plastic cover which is BEHIND the large pulley. In other words you basically have to do a complete timing belt job. Remove the outer cover, remove the belt and the pulley, then remove the inner cover.
Frankly, if you didn't know that, then I don't think you should be doing what you're attempting. You should bring it into a Mitsu dealer and have one of our mechanics look at it.
