I'd love to see Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert run for President. I think they'd do a pretty good job, and their press conferences would be really funny.

A comedian did run for President. In the mid 60s there was a comic who was a regular on the Smothers Brothers television show ran for president. I, and a whole lot of other people voted for him. His name was Pat Paulson

Well maam, i only have to tune to the parliament channel on tv to see a whole bunch of comedians arguing and fighting and slinging mud...the only time they get serious is just before voting time.
I would like to see a president that does his best to deliver the promises that he and the cabinet makes at voting time, but are there still such persons to vote for ? I only have to look at Q & A to see that there is not much love for politicians elsewhere either...

It's already happened. Pat Paulsen ran for President in 1968, 1972, 1976, 1992, and 1996.

Al Franken is an Ivy League graduate. There has been some discussion that he may run for the Senate from Minnesota when Coleman's term is up. He grew up near Minneapolis but has been living in New York. He moved back to the Twin Cities recently.
I might vote for him for Senate. I wouldn't rule out voting for him for President. I'd need to know more about him and his opponents.

We did vote for Ronald Reagan, he was a B grade Actor. Not to mention Arnold in California, and Jessy Ventura in Minnesota. Yes, if Robin Williams was to run, it would be interesting to see. At least he could deliver a line well.

I would vote for Robin Williams. I think he genuinely cares about people. My favorite comedian is Eddie Izzard, but he can't run, he's British. He is funny and politically and historically accurate.

Yes, it was mentioned Pat Paulsen ran a number of times and to our shame he was never elected. Too bad, would had been a whale of a president. He would have had the world rolling in the isles.

We have one in now. Unfortunately, his comic value is overshadowed by his lack of intelligence, lack of morals, lack of a conscience & the many people he has sentenced to death, American & Iraqi. We already had an actor (Reagan) so is a comedian a far stretch? I will vote for anyone who can convince me he has a brain & a conscience.

Depends on how they stand on the issues..... like any other candidate...
Of all comedians (which is what I think you are asking) I would have to say Penn Jillette would be interesting
