I also have old bullets with it. How long is it before bullets are too old to use?

cons: not very powerful, not very loud (for scaring bad guys).

Pros: Its more accurate because it has less recoil.

Yes, it is good for protection, if you know how to use it safely.
bullets are only about $1.00 for 50 at walmart. I would not take the chance on old bullets. Would you like to sell the gun?

It's better than nothing. Before firing on a range, take it to a gunsmith to be checked over if unsure of the condition. Take the old bullets plinking. Buy new ones to load for protection.
Have a concealed carry license I hope?

No gun is good for protection unless you can *confidently* handle and use it.

Take it to your local gun shop for cleaning & inspection since it's older. They can help you find a gun safety class & a shooting range so you can learn how to handle firearms.

not alot of stopping power.good for shooting cans or bottles.old bulletts turn to duds quickly,especially when exposed to moisture.i'd buy knew ones.they're about 2$/box of 50,or 10-15/box of 500.(but i live in montana)
