If you miss a dose of medication (especially if it's an antibiotic) you should take another dose right away and then "recycle" your dosage schedule. For example, let's say you were supposed to take your meds every six hours and you missed the dose at noon. It's now 4:00. Take a dose and wait six hours to take the next one. DO NOT take a dose two hours later to get back on your original schedule -- that can cause more problems. If you need to, you can usually get away with adjusting your dosage schedule by one hour (earlier or later) if you must get back on your original schedule.

it does highly depend on what meds you are taking! If you are talking about birth control just take it ! Anything else i would skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. most things are not going to be a big deal and one missed dose wont matter.. unless it birth control! .. if you miss two doses i would call your doctor to see if its ok to not take it anymore ... i hate meds .. can you tell?
