The GPS was off by about 200' in this area. I have never seen it be off in some 16 states that I have had the GPS in.

that's pretty weird.

considering that the GPS is taking the signals from 3 or more fixed in place satellites, id say that was pretty weird indeed. Who knows, maybe they do. or maybe your proximity to the ground based sensors and microwave relay towers had something to do with it.

the problem with that reasoning is that commercial sources are also using the GPS signals for navigation of airliners and such. Id sure would like to know if being off by 200 feet would have that much effect on them.
