Are there any fans out there of Metal and HC? I've been listening to metal for 10+ years and it seems to keep becoming more and more popular; especially with the addition to the 2nd stage at Ozzfest. I started listening to Slayer and Biohazard a long time ago; and now some of these new bands that represent Metal/core are just sick. If you are a fan, what bands do you like?

Hey.. I like Satyricon, Burzum, Mayhem, Amon Amarth, Behemoth as for the black and/or death, but I also like Deep purple, Guns, Metallica and AC/DC :)

I agree with you that I'm not really sure I like where metal/hardcore is going. I do like Marilyn Manson, Tool, Disturbed, Cold and Nothingface, but some of their songs are a little too harsh for me. And I like Disturbed's original work more than their covers, even though their covers kick. And then don't even get me started on the songs that SAY they're hardcore, but they're really just whiny little rants: oh, you horrible person, you ruined my life, I hate you... that just makes me wanna hurl. I mean, if this person you're whining about was so awful, why did you open your life to them and let them stay in your life? Bleah.
And yes, I've been a fan for a while. Started with Black Sabbath, BOC, KISS, early Van Halen (more hard than heavy, I know), AC/DC, Judas Priest and Metallica. The 80s metal has some good riffs, but I don't like most of the lyrics. (Ratt, early Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, dio, Twisted Sister, Dokken, Megadeth, Slayer, WASP, Anthrax, like that.) Guns and Roses were only REALLY good on Appetite for Destruction. (Although Slash always kicks ***.)

I like the metal band Nevermore from Seattle. They are different.
I also enjoy Lacuna Coil, a metal band from Italy with a female vocalist!

i like evanescance, my chemical romance, green day, marylin manson, HIM, panic at the disco, and yeah, i know those arent all hardcore, or w/e, but yeah, i need points so im just answering questions!! lol
