They edit the magazine by correcting spelling mistakes and bad gramor. They probably make a lot they are usaly someone who has been writing in magazines for some time before they got the job of over seeing everything that goes out.

Depends on what kind of editor:
- editor-in-chief: directs the magazine, responsible for the magazine's voice and mission, leads the staffs abd serves readers, spokesperson on TV or within other media.
I think this kind of editor is the highest paid.
- Managing editor: responsible for scheduling (editorial calendar) and production, keeps track of deadlines, plans the production schedule.
-Senior/Department editor: works with writer, photographer and copy desk, responsible for the particular department. Responsibilites including: assign and edit stories, find writers to report and write the stories.
-Copy editor: edit/check the grammar, punctuation and technical mistake on the story. Raises questions about the story that might be corrected.
Copy editor are the lowest paying job and has most of works.

depends on the magazine on how much they get paid, and probably on what they do. Obviously they edit it, meaning they are in charge of putting the magazine together in good shape for publication. Things have to be checked and/or corrected, spelling, grammar, sources, worthwhile stories, etc etc.

they basically cut out all the crap from all the original stories for it to be ready to go on sale.
i dont know if they get paid a lot it probably depends on the magazine

What does it sound like? They edit the magazine and check for misspellings and add things in or take out things they feel belongs in the magazine or doesn't fit in the magazine!

they figure out what photo goes where and they can edit columns to try to word it better...my cousin want to be a magazine editor..lol
