You just have to tell her. You are an adult, so if you're afraid of telling your mom, then I'm guessing that you still have things in your life that you need to get together.
I was 17 when I got pregnant. My parents were TICKED! But they had to learn to get over it and deal with it, and they did, very quickly.

If you are 23 years old then you are an adult. Hopefully you are really mature and responsible. Just come out and tell her. If you still live at home then she will find out eventually anyway. There is no special way to tell someone that you are pregnant. Most mothers are really understanding and happy about the thought of having a grand baby. Good luck.

well I'm 23 and I was pregnant at 20 the way I told her went something like this. My sister had just had a baby so I told her I needed to talk to her and she couldn't get upset or anything she had to be happy no matter what. Then I said well you know how you have one grandbaby, well your about to have another. Then with my second I was 22 and My significant other and I went together to tell my parents. It works really good if you bring someone with you for your support. Then your mom can't get mad...

I would tell her, when you two are alone, but I feel you are an adult and have to be responcible and that includes doing the hardest thing and breaking it to the people you think will be disappointed. With my first child I was pregnant at 18 still in high school and was scared to death to tell my father, she is almost three and ever since she first came out she has been "papa's little girl" it all works out, just have faith.

just tell her. I would need to know more about your situation(married, living at home, school,) before I could tell you what her reaction might be, but you are an adult. Let the words fly and she might be happy to help you expect a bundle of joy. My mom was and I have two girls and a boy on the way, and I just turned 24. good luck and congrats.

Don't worry, she may not even react how you think she will since the deed is done. Just tell her that you need her to be there for you during this time and that you are going to do your best with what you have. She will understand, and maybe even be happy to be expecting a new grandchild.

First, tell the parent you're closest to. Say, "I've gotten myself into a situation and I need your help: I'm pregnant." This way you're taking responsibility (which is mature), but you're also admitting that you can't handle it on your own and need your parents' support.

Just tell her, give her a baby gift or something and a card that says "I love you Grandma." Make it special, a moment she'll never want to forget. And congrats to you!

Well, you are an adult so how about, "Hi Mum! I'm pregnant!" (said with a great big smile)
