Have a dance party. Make sure you hire an instructor or else your party will be boring since a lot of 14 year olds are shy or do not know how to dance.
You can also book a party with Color Me Mine. I have seen one for 13 year olds and it is great fun. (www.colormemine.com)
If just girls, have a makeover party. Hire a professional (talk to your local Avon or Mary Kay rep) and just have some fun.
Here's another idea...have a karaoke party. It is not very expensive to rent a karaoke machine (you can buy one for about $300, the kind with differnt chips you can insert into microphone, and the microphone goes into your tv set). It is a lot of fun.

a tiki THEMED party!!! ha ha serve pina coladas, tropical drinks in long plastic cups, tropical straws, hanging bright lights, provide hula skirts or leis (hawiian flower necklaces for guests at the entrance when you greet your guests!! Have it from the afternoon, lasting to very late at night. Have guests come to your house first, in the afternoon for refreshments/snacks. leave to the pool as soon as everyone comes.
then go to a pool and have a HUGE pool party....you know tiki, ocean...pool...close enough!
Next, when it is time for dinner, head back to your place.
have a bunch of little tables or blankets. Next to the tables or blankets, have a food bar. have all the little tables/blankets facing a TV or those movie projectors projecting on a white screen.
host a dance area with LOUD speakers, a food bar, and a silly string fight! ATTACK!!! lol

Go to a hotel with an indoor pool (and maybe a hot tub!!) and ask about using it for a party. Usually, hotel people are really nice about letting you use their pools. It's really fun to swim in a heated pool in winter. Have fun!

Spend it with both of your parents. Go to a silent auction and make bids on artsy pieces. Then head over to Taco Bell for dinner.
