US Senator Samuel D. "Sam" Brownback (Kansas)
US Senate Majority Leader William H. "Bill" Frist (Tennessee)
Former US House Speaker Newton L. "Newt" Gingrich (Georgia)
US Senator John S. McCain III (Arizona)
Former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. "Rudy" Giuliani (New York)
Governor W. Mitt Romney (Massachusetts)
There are others that I am not familiar with.

Impossible to predict until they start to declare candidacy. I do believe there are a couple of possibles though.
Rudy Giuliani should he chose to run. He has not declared but has expressed interest.
John McCain could be a good centrist candidate, but will have a hard time energizing the conservative base.

i dont know, but this is what i do...I am a democrat. I wouldnt vote republican if God himself were running, but i am registered as a Republican..this way, I can vote in the republican primary, and i vote for the biggest fool they have running. Probably it will be McCain, who seems to be the most reasonable candidate.
