Cancer is not considered hereditary.

Some types of breast cancer can run in families. I think they're shifting the emphasis from genetics to environmental factors as primary though.

If you, or any other woman, has breast cancer then your daughters should be taking extra care to avoid environmental contaminants and carcinogens, especially the xeno-estrogens which are so prevalent in plastics and elswhere. But then that really applies to every woman; it's just that most of us choose to think it can't happen to us.

Yes, if your mother gets breast cancer, you have a better chance of getting it yourself.

If you have the dominant gene for it then yes there is a good chance if there is a recessive gene then the chance is less likely.

there is definitely a genetic component but, if you have it, it does not mean your daughter will

talkm to your doctor or oncologist and perhaps they will offer genetic testing

only if its hereditary. but you might be the start of it. just dont worry to much and make sure she checks every so often.
