Hi. I've been on Depo Provera for 3 years straight. My doctor told me I need to get off of it and try another birth control like the pill. Which I haven't had a monthly cycle in 3 years and I love it. I haven't had any side effects. I take calcium pills and vitamins. But I'm 23 yrs old and plan on having children in the far future. My question is What type of pills are out there that don't give crazy side effects or might benefit me? I'm a very active person meaning, I play sports, try to eat healthy most of the time. I'm scared to try something different. I heard about something called ESTROSTEP anyone have experience with this one?

I've had a great experience on the pill. My only side effect has been short, light, predictable, symptom-free periods. Since you're used to not having yours at all, maybe you should try Seasonale; at least you'd only have one every three months.

I don't know anything about Estrostep specifically.

If you go to a clinic or look online they should tell you the types of pills they have. Im also on Depo, and out of all the birth controls it has the most side effects, so being on the pill is actually better than the shot.

I use Seasonale. You only have your period every 3 months with no crazy side effects. It's great

One like Seasonale is good - You don't have a period for three months then have one, then none for another three months.
