How did he get famous anyway? When you see his old stand-up in the 80's, it's lame as all hell......what strings did this guy pull to get where he is? his "interview" style sucks, he just gives you forced laughs out of context for days, and pulls Kevin Eubanks
into the jokes when the monologues bomb, in the same lame
"not getting any lately, eh kevin?" way, every night!

Leno must have kissed the right a s s in the right way to get where
he is. Just goes to show you how far you can get by kissing
a s s!

NTW, even the currect cranky over-the-hill version of Letterman blows away Leno...

I'm no expert on a s s kissing, but I know
one when I see one, especially in the smarmiest of businesses, show business.
Anyone that could ace Letterman out of the Tonight Show slot that was promised him by Carson, and p i s s Letterman off enough to move to CBS, is an a s s kisser
par excellance.....trust me on this!

More reasons why he sucks...he hires
"correspondants" in the field to do his dirty work....Letterman did his own field videos
for years, and Conan always does his own field videos......if anyone appears in comedy
skits on conan, it always involves Conan
on some level.....Leno just lets his writers
hire correspondants, like that flaming queer
guy Ross(who I personally think is hilarious,
and give the credit to Ross), and write all
the material.........Leno is just plain boring,
and after the monologue, the show is a total
snoozefest.....just a bunch of fake laughter
from Leno, kinda like Ed McMahon hosting the tonight show himself.....Carson, O'Brian, and, god knows, especially Letterman, never force laughter, prob cause they actually have something funny to add to the interview.....Conan is sometimes so "on" in his one-on-one
that he makes the interview sparkle with
his great ad-libbing....and Letterman at his peak was the master par-excellance.
Face it, Leno sucks! !

valgal, thanks for saying you miss carson....sometimes I feel like people would think I was too old by saying that on here, but I watched carson as a kid in late
60's early 70's....I was 6 in '68 and still
remember seeing him on tv at night, right before I had to go to bed......were much better times late-nite wise!

Jay grew up one town over from me and we always followed his career. I have an autographed pic of him and an a tographed book. Sorry - but I enjoy his comedy.
