I have never seen a college offer a BS, Bachelor' of Science in accounting and finance. I have only seen a BA or BBA. I majored in accounting and the best degree you can get as an accounting major would be a BA, Bachelor's of Accountancy. If you are going into Finance, you will probably have to go with a BBA, a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance. Some colleges only offer a BBA of Accountancy too instead of a BA. BS is usually dedicated to science and math, and the other version of BA, is the Bachelor's of Arts which is dedicated to History, Art, and Education. You can get math and education under either the BS or BA though. I would suggest that if you are going to major in accounting or finance, stick to the Bachelor's of Accountancy if possible, or at least the Bachelor's of Business Administration. That will the ones looked at with the most respect. Plus most schools will not offer accounting and finance under the Bachelor's of Arts, or Bachelor's of Science. If they do, then their business school is probably not accredited. I hope this helps.
