Can concert flutes be made entirely from plastic?

I've heard of flutes being made out of plastic but it is not recommended to use them in concert bands. Maybe for beginners.

They can be, some musicians will tell you that wooden flute has tonal characteristics that can't be duplicated by a man-made material. I certainly would not want to play a guitar made of plastic. Even on Ovation guitars they still use wood for soundboards.

most likely yes...you can make anything if you have the money, and plastic is very formable...but it probably wouldn't sound very good.
