10 out of 10!!!!! 100% ***** out of *****!!! It is the single best CD I have bought in my lifetime since 'Fallen'. I actually like it better than 'Fallen'! Amy Lee is the female rock icon of our time. She extends her voice so much more in this album. Just listen to the first track, "Sweet Sacrifice"!!! All the songs are like that. My favorite songs are Lacrymosa, Snow White Queen, Sweet Sacrifice, and Like You. The most meaningful one I would say is "Like You". If you didn't know, it's about her sister who died at a young age. My second favorite is "Lacrymosa". The orchestra, choir, and Amy Lee make it extraordinary. The star of the album is "Sweet Sacrifice", the first track. It starts out a lot like "Going Under", but absolutely captures you once the beat picks up. The chorus "fear is only in our minds, taking over all the time" is haunting, but yet so complete. The way Amy turns it into an off-opera vocal performance is magical. This is the absolute best album out there, hands down!

I love it i am a bit of a goth so i like there most of there music and there music clips
my fav songs on the album (the open door) is (1) sweet sacrifice (2) all that i'm living for and (3) cloud nine (4) call me when your sober, of course i love all the songs on the album but these are my fav songs
if i had to rate it i would give it 10 out of 10
u have to buy it when it comes out or is it already out? i'm not sure
i downloaded all of the abums song when they still hadn't been released.
so buy it, buy it, buy it,
it's a great album i hope u enjoy it

I love Evanescence (and Amy Lee!!!) They're my favorite band. I'd rate them a 10, & I'll give you a review of each song!
01. 'Sweet Sacrifice' -- A rocking song with great vocals, lyrics, & music. Sounds to me like she may be talking to a BF or possibly an Ex BF in this song. Lyric sample: "You poor sweet innocent thing dry your eyes & testify You know you live to break me don't deny sweet sacrifice"
02. 'Call Me When You're Sober' -- Another rocking song. Great lyrics, great vocals & music, & awesome video. Her sisters Carrie & Lori sing background vocals in this song. I believe this song is dedicated to her Ex BF Shaun Morgan. Lyric sample: "You never call me when you're sober You only want it cause it's over How could I burn paradise? How could I - you were never mine!"
03. 'Weight of the World' -- Yet another rocking song. Great vocals!!!. Great lyrics & music. This song has a touch of a spooky sound in it. I believe she's talking to herself in this song?!?!. IDK yet though...Lyric sample "If you love me, then let go of me I won't be held down by who I used to be She's nothing to me"
04. 'Lithium' -- The 1st song off of the CD that Amy Lee wrote all alone. She wrote 3 songs all alone on this CD & this is the 1st one. She's basically saying that she doesn't want to forget how she feels without lithium. Again -- great vocals!!, great lyrics, & great music. Lyric sample -- "Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside. Lithium don't want to forget how it feels without lithium. Lithium - I want to stay in love with my sorrow"
05. 'Cloud Nine' -- Yet another rocking song with a touch of a spooky sound. I love this song!. It also has great vocals, lyrics, & music. I believe she's talking about love in this song. Lyric sample -- "If I fall and all is lost no light to lead the way Remember that all alone is where I belong"
06. 'Snow White Queen' -- A spooky sounding song that rocks. Great vocals, music, & lyrics. I believe she's talking to herself once again in this song?!?!...But IDK yet about this song either. Lyric sample -- "You belong to me my snow white queen There's nowhere to run, so lets just get it over Soon you'll see you're just like me"
07. 'Lacrymosa' -- Yet another spooky sounding song that rocks. It's got a choir in the background. I believe she's talking about a past love in this song as well. It's also got great vocals, lyrics, & music. Lyric sample -- "Blame it on me set your guilt free nothing can hold you back now. Now that you're gone I feel like myself again"
08. 'Like You' -- The 2nd song that Amy Lee wrote all alone. It's slow, but has great vocals, lyrics, & music. I heard that this song was written to her sister Bonnie that had past away at a young age from an illness, but I'm not 100% sure?!?!. Lyric sample "I long to be like you Lie cold in the ground like you There's room inside for two & I'm not grieving for you I'm coming for you"
09. 'Lose Control' -- Yet another spooky sounding song that rocks. Great vocals, lyrics, & music. I believe she's talking about love in this song too?!?!...maybe in a sneeky way??...Lyric sample "Mary had a lamb his eyes black as coals If we play very quiet my lamb Mary never has to know"
10. 'The Only One' -- A kinda slow song in the beginning, but it begins to rock with great vocals, great lyrics, & music. I haven't figured out the true meaning to this song yet. I believe she's talking to someone & telling them they're not the only one grieving, everyone is actually...IDK yet though...Lyric sample "All our lives we've been waiting for someone to call our leader All your lies I'm not believing Heaven shine a light down on me"
11. ' Your Star' -- A slow song in the beginning with great lyrics, vocals, & music. I believe it's a love song possibly about a past love. Lyric sample -- "And I'm all alone now Me & all I stood for. We're wandering now all in parts in pieces, swim lonely Find your way out"
12. ' All That I'm Living For' -- The only song that Amy Lee & John LeCompt wrote together. It's a rocking song, with some slow parts. It's a love song, with great lyrics, vocals, & music. Lyric sample -- "All that I'm living for All that I'm dying for All that I can't ignore alone at night All that I'm wanted for Although I wanted more Lock the last open door my ghosts are gaining on me"
13. 'Good Enough' -- The 3rd song that Amy Lee wrote alone. It's a slow love song. Great vocals, lyrics, & music. Lyric sample -- "Under your spell again I can't say no to you Crave my heart & it's bleeding in your hand I can't say no to you"
Tracks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, & 11 Amy Lee & Terry Balsamo wrote together...It's a great CD, & a must have!!.
