is Mark Foley saying hes gay or a pedofile because he was molested and is an alcoholic ? what about all those?
kid that Micheal Jackson fooled around with will that cause them to become that way too and if thats not why hes a pedofile why even menton being molested or being an alcohol ?? Dont seem that all the pieces of the puzzle fit together or may i'm just a dumb hetrosexual hillbilly that like women, real ones ////

No, you are not dumb. None of what he is now saying makes sense...... I think he is trying to now use "what happened" to him as a child the excuse for his poor lack of judgement.
I just don't buy into this excuse when people use their childhood as the fall guy for how they behave or turn out to be. Nobody I know had a rosy upbringing but we don't all turn out to be mass murderers or pedofile.
There is no excuse for his behavior..... whatever sex he prefers does not excuse him messing around with young boys.
His now coming out saying he is gay...... what does that have to do with the fact that he likes young boys... your sexual preference does not mean you become a sex pervert or pedofile.
I say hang him.

that's what he says.
Like most of congress, he's prob a lawyer, so he knows the best way to try to get out of what he did.
I think he is just trying to find something to blame his bad behavior on because it will make him "look better" to the court and hopefully he'll get off easy. Sort of like those people that fake and claim insanity.
He says he is gay and an alcoholic. He's trying to blame it on those as an excuse because they are more accepted by society. Being a pedaphile is not acceptable to most ppl.
He might be gay, or he might not. Most gay ppl aren't anymore likely to be a pedaphile than straight ppl.
Sadly, there are lots of ppl that were molested as children. Most are not weak enough human beings to molest children and then try to blame it on the past.
He might have won a senate seat, but he's a loser in my book!

Foley is saying that stuff to try and save his butt and that's all there is to it. Truth is, the guy was caught at something sick and demented, and since we live in a society that cannot take responsibility for its actions, Foley has his pr people spin a marvelous tale that makes it sound like its not his fault.

Persons who have been sexually molested/traumatized often suffer from substance abuse; possibly to cull the guilt or hurt they feel associated with the action. All three behaviors: gay, pedophile, and alcohol went together in his circumstance.

It's B.S. People need to stop blaming others and be held responsible for their actions. This guy if he propositioned underage kids, needs to be treated like any other sex offender.
