People say I'm fine at singing, but I want to be good, because secretly I want to be a singer in future.
I'm starting a singing lesson soon but I'm too embarassed to tell everyone because if they do think I am bad at singing, they will laugh at me...
So please, if you know how to tell you are good at singing or not, or how to be a good singer, I need help, thankyou.xxx

Record yourself and play it back. It's obvious when someone's a bad singer, there are bum notes and wobbliness. this is worse if there's a lack of confidence.

Well I think singing lessons are a good idea in my opinion because you need to know if you sing high (saprano) or kinda low (alto) or really loe (Active lower) or what you like the best or what sounds the best. And you don't have to tell anyone. And I think if they think that its dumb then there really not your friend because a real friend is behind you all the way no matter what.

can you sing without music and if you in the shower try it out sing to yourself in a closed room and see how you sound.
i do sing and if your find yourself singing off note dont worry just get the note right before you sing, you got to have a ear for music to sing the tune.
try i will always love you by whitney hustin or unbreak my heart by toni braxton,or the power of love by jennifer rush.
dont be shy and we all make mistakes no one is perfect if we all were perfect we would all be cutting records every second.
don't tell no one about you being able to sing just do it when your asked to sing make sure you don't bost about your talent let them find it for you.and good luck in your lessons.

Have you tried the trick where you close one ear while you're singing and see if you're hitting the notes?
That works for me.

Don't worry, voice lessons will improve your voice and soon you'll feel more confident.

Plug one of your ears while singing... Also, pick songs with your same tone of voice- If you sing a little higher pitch, or lower pitch.
