I agree - the two party system is a great way to keep the debate shaped the way 'the man' wants it. Convenient, eh?

Hmmmm you seem to be concerned with civil liberties but see liberals as a threat to them. The only time I see a liberal hitting a civil liberty it usually has to do with guns. Even then they want to regulate guns not eliminate them completely. Conservatives on the other hand want to control everything from your body to who you talk to and what you can watch. I am afraid i can't subscribe to your 2 dimensional theory. The reason for all this fighting is that one side wants to control every one and one side is very afraid they might succeed and you will have to take a side or take whatever fate hits you with.

Il admit..A Liberal Country would be great for about 2-3 years..By year 4-5 we would lead into many problems..Im actually a very strong conservative BUT il say one thing..We need to take some time..About 4 years to strengthen America from within and stop poverty in America and unemployment and all that (Democratic Ideas), BUT not right now..We need to continue w/ Iraq, and then we need to stand by incase the War w/ N Korea vs Japan and S Korea needs our help..We need to contribute to the war, but not a full out invasion like Iraq..Like maybe 50,000 Active Duty in N Korea or something along that..But Iran is coming up too, but well have help from everybody around for that also..
So after Iraq, well still be in war; but slowly, steadily become less active in major wars..And then elect an INDEPENDANT (NOT Liberal OR Convservative) for 4 years, so they can do a little bit of both the ideas..And then get the Conservatives back in power

Conservatives and liberals help an identical element. A society the place a small style of human beings very own the country's supplies and so are rather wealthy and strong. The overwhelming majority very own not something yet their means to paintings and so are compelled to labour for the employers as a fashion to stay. the government defends the valuables and pursuits of the mega-wealthy, eg by potential of combating wars in places like Iraq. Capitalism, in different words.

all that which is political has always baffled me. We vote for and elect one who is to represent the constituency. but Time after time, vote after vote, the real issues of the people too often are ignored. promise after promise broken. Governments have forgotten they work for us and not the other way around. Some have labeled me a republican, some a democrat, other just an a s s , well maybe so at times, one needs to vent, I agree with issues on both sides. I disagree with any extreme point of view on either side. politics I have learned one true fact for sure, it will bring out the worst in people no madder how good of a person you really are. so I say friends we are Americans first and we have to be able to accept that other might not agree with you. you think your right and they think your wrong who's to really say. but the personal attacks are what I mean. politics and religion are always sure to start a fight.

Vote Liberatarian or Independent, but it won't change anything unless the GOP keep trying to screw little boys.
The fact that our house of representatives is structured so one party wins the right to represent their whole district keeps us in a two party system. It is the weakest form of democracy.
If people voted for the party to fill a percentage of the seats, then we wouldn't have a two party system.

You are not the only one, but I don't get your description that it is one-dimensional. It does have two sides even if they are both flat.

You're very right. Problem is that politics are polarized right now, I'm hoping it calms down and turns to a more moderate country.

Well your opinion contradicts what you are implying. You say there are two parties? But you yourself aren't a part of them, so vote for the other candidate or hell run for office. Don't whine, vote.
