I really thought this question was as uncontroversial as it could get...obviously there's some people so angry at the world that they even feel the need to attack me for this simple enquiry...wow!

It really depends what local authority the children's school is in Your best bet is to apply either to the school or LA for a list of holiday dates - I'm sure there would no problem.
The fact that different areas have different half terms is a reflection that the LA makes their own holidays. (However all schools need to do the statutory 190 days per yeat)

It is usually a week long holiday off school for the kids half way through their summer, spring, autumn or winter term. My son will be having his at the end of october, check with your kids school when thier's is.

It varies from school to school and country to country, most local schools will have details on their websites, some councils also list them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR DAD!
