You may be applying too much, or applying it too low. You should blend foundation into your jaw line, and no lower.

If it is happening when getting ready, prevent stains by wearing a handkerchief or scarf around your face when putting on clothing. Alternatively, wear a dressing gown over your good clothes as you are applying make-up.

Sounds like you may be putting your foundation too far down your neck. It should blend in just below your jawline so there is no obvious line. If you feel your neck needs something, why not try putting some fake tan on at night a couple of time a week. Be careful that your make up and tan colours match though and don't put too much on. This should save your clothes and also give you a nice healty glow. Good luck.

Tuck some tissues down your collar and work the foundation up. If (when it gets over your jawline) there is an excess.......try smoothing it out. Too much can spoil it all....remember, less is more.

Because your collar rubs on the area you have make up on even when you don't feel it. Use Dawn dish detergent to get it out.

your face is probably rubbing up against your shirt collar. that happens to be sometimes, so i try not to put too much foundation below my jawline.
