It was named Eris last month, but it is a dwarf planet, not a planet, under the IAU's new definition. The origin of all Kuiper Belt objects is somewhat unclear, but they may be planetesimals, early Solar System bodies, that didn't combine with others to form planets, and instead were eject into distant orbits by the gravity of the planets that did form. Eris has one moon, Dysnomia, which means "lawlessness," and was so named because Dysnomia is the daughter of Eris in Greek mythology, but also partly in honor of the actress Lucy Lawless, because Eris' nickname for an entire year was "Xena." The effects of Eris on the art of astronomy have not been institutionalized as of yet, and a scientist in any concrete discipline will tell you that astrology is irrelevant to begin with. Eris is far from all of the planets and dwarf planet, so it has no interactions with them.
