I hope that there can somehow be a legitimate reason for someone to ask this kind of question.
If methamphetamines are in your child's cord blood, then they are in his/her body, and they could only have been supplied by the Mother's Use while pregnant. For crying out loud, they tell women not even to take aspirin while pregnant! These drugs have likely caused him/her to have a low birth weight, organ damage, developmental delays, possible neurological damage like autism or such as that. He/she is more at risk for abusing drugs as an adult (if he/she even makes it that far!)
I weep for the child whose mother is concerned with hiding the abuse of the child, rather than expressing any concern for the baby's long-term health and well-being.

If the mother has used, and it was dectected, it will stay in the cord, because nothing is moving through the cord anymore. And they Test the cord blood for drug use, HIV, and so on. And if they find Drugs, you can be charged, or your baby taken away.

You can also detect it in hair follicles and blood tests. It can stay in a human for up to eight years so I assume it is the same for a baby.

through fact this is least complicated for the medical doctors this way, so they are able to take your infant and do all forms of assessments on infant (weigh, degree, etc etc etc). this is in basic terms necessary to diminish the twine at recent if there are problems that want prompt interest. I had one infant's twine decrease at recent at delivery through fact she got here out blue and necessary a breath, and because her twine replace into wrapped tightly round her neck it replace into the final thought for her. My 2d infant's twine replace into no longer wrapped so we stored it intact till it stopped pulsating, at which era we decrease the twine (daddy decrease it honestly). protecting the twine intact till it starts off pulsating is fabulous, because it will enhance iron stages in the toddler infant. There are no sturdy motives for the ordinary reducing of the umbilical twine in each and every infant, yet there are various sturdy motives to enable it stop pulsating first. That stated, reducing the twine too early will no longer harm toddlers. It basically isn't the suitable subject for toddlers to be in. they could get their twine blood, if attainable.

The baby should be taken away and given to a loving mother if that happens.
