The ban of online gaming is coming about due to Sen. Bill Frist.
He tacked the ban onto the defense bill-----so a vote FOR online gaming is a vote AGAINST national defense.
Is this terribly unfair or am I wrong?
Should politicians be allowed to do this?

Sadly, this kind of back room politics takes place all the time. Little obscure bills that either no one supports or cares about are tacked onto very popular ones to insure that they pass. Its rotten and its crooked. Wtite and call your congressmen and senators and tell them how sneaky you think this is. Do it often.

It's terribly unfair they are allowed to do this...it should be one bill, one vote and not 5 bills, one vote! I'm not sure of the laws, but I guess it's completely legal to do this. They tack bills onto other bills that are sure to pass because the bill they are tacking on would probably not pass if it were by itself. I hate when they do that.

They can do whatever they want. Yes, it is unfair. If online poker gets shutdown it will come back up with the U.S. government hosting a site to ensure that taxes are paid. That's just my theory, but there's no way they'll shut it down altogether. There's way too much money to be made.
