I liked this boy a lot he was so nice to me but all my friends told me i was going out with a geek and told me he was ugly so i broke up whith him do you think that was right ? help me

aww dont care what your friends say its ok to like someone whos a geek show your friends the good points about him and then maybe theyll becoime friends with him too

You must never cave under that pressure. Go out with the guy you like, geek or not. Some of the best boyfriends I ever had were geeks, and they grew up to be really sexy men! Stick with your geeks because they are usually smarter and more down-to-earth and will treat you better than the great-looking guys. When you grow up, your geeky boyfriend will turn into a wonderful man. Always care about others' feelings and choose what's inside over outside, superficial physical appearances.

no way that is so not right!!! i am so in love with this guy but he's a geek too and my friends say that i could find much better. but hes for me and i love him for who he is. why should i like someone that my friends like? they're not the ones going out with him. and mine is ugly too i even thought that before i went out with him. but i love him and he is the most adorable, cute boy i have ever seen. go back to the dude, cuz u may be missing the best thing in your life :-]

I went out with a geek once. He was ugly as ugly could be. Then he thought he could get anyone because he got me so I dumped him. He hasn't gotten anyone since and that was 4 years ago!!

the problem with that is you care too much about what other people think about you... to me that sounds like you try too hard to fit in... that was harsh just breaking up with him because he was a geek, you just need to think that YOUR the one going out with him not them... you should have done what YOU wanted not what your friends wanted... but he will move on and find someone else and so should you

Ask yourself what was it that attracted you to this boy in the first place. Was it something POSITIVE that you could not find in your usual group? If it was, then you might want to consider hooking up with him again. If your friends cannot allow you to mix with someone that can offer a positive friendship, perhaps you need to let them know you can choose others over them.......
