There are reputable schools that offer online courses which lead to a degree. For example, Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA is a excellent school and they offer ways to take your classes online. Go to:

Most schools offer online courses to compliment their in class classes. Drexel is the only one I can think of that has complete programs online.

Yea, don't use those online schools that pop up all over the computer most of them are scams and will give you a diploma not worth anything. Use an accredited college that offers onliine or correspondence courses. I have taken online classes from Indiana University and had a good experience with them. They offer degrees as well.

Hmmm, kind of depends on what the degree is. I finished up at Kennedy Western after start a number of years ago at the U of MN. Their not nationally accredited (not necessarilly a bad thing) but they have good credentials and they are one of only a few online EE programs. I also looked at Grantham College of Engineering. They checked out really good but no EE.
If you want to spend bucks, Stanford has online programs as well. they'd be my personal first choice. North Dakota State I think does too. Big thing, check and make sure the degree is not just fluffy paper when your done. Mine from Kennedy has worked well to get me a good job.

Not if you want your education to be taken seriously.
Go to your community college, if cost is a concern.

Percentage of true education here in online education is very limited compared to regular school education....so please be sure before applying for all these.....
