Whatever you do you need to take the time to spot treat it. Each individual spot or paint mark needs to be treated. I know it sounds time consuming but this sort of thing usually is. After you spot treat it then you can wash it. Don't let the entire wash cycle run. You need to stop the wash cycle and let it soak. Let it soak for a while, then continue the cycle. When the wash cycle is done, examine the garment and make sure all of the paint is out. If not, DON'T DRY THE CLOTHING. This will "set" the stain and make it harder to remove. If the paint isn't out, then start the process, as I described it above, over again. It may take a couple of times but IT WILL COME OUT EVENTUALLY. If it's not worth the trouble to you, then toss it and go buy something new. What a great excuse to go shopping! Good luck.

I see other people have given advice on how to remove the stains from your clothes.....I have painted a lot in my life. I have never been able to get the stains out.........And it was water based paint.
I make sure I wear my old clothes that I clean and do yard work in when I paint. If I have to run an errand and people say, "Oh, I see you are busy painting this week end!?" I just smile and say, "oh, yes."

try washing them in vinegar and baking soda with your regular laundry detergent also put laundry detergent in washer put clothes in let it fill up alittle add a cup of vinegar and pread baking soda all over the top of clothing and let go through the wash cycle see if that helps i am pretty sure it will take the water base paint of and get rid of any odors the paints have left behind hope i helped.

You can only remove it before it dries. Just rinse it with water, then wash as usual. If it is dry, I have tried to scrap most of the paint off and then rub it and wash.

I agree with Martinamagrace....after it is dry, it won't come off. I only use water-based paints. I hate oil-based. Anyway, if you catch it while it is still fresh, hot soapy water will get most of it out, but once it is set, it will wear off slightly over time, but it ain't coming out!

if you get to it right away, very hot water and a mild soap should do it
