There is this wonderful movie, X-Men, and to some degree in its sequels, but the first one makes this superb illustration--there are people who are different and some simply want to quietly do their different thing, but some want to overtly change the world to make them the norm. It is this second group that causes problems for the first group.

It's because some can't think out of the box...they're trapped in their small worlds with their small minds. Some can't stand up for themselves. They continue the "tradition" of friends/family of disliking the gay community. It's sad really. Others are just ignorant....they haven't been in an accepting environment and haven't been given good examples by those around them...they haven't been properly educated. The whole thing is just sad....I too, have no problem with gay people and have some gay friends, but I also have other friends who wouldn't dare have a gay friend or outwardly express their dislike for them.......

Well my thing is that,I don't have a problem with gays at all,but in the same sense,it's wrong in gods eye.I don't walk around talking about eeelllllllll!!!! that's nasty,I just think if you gay be gay.And what I mean by that is,man and man or woman and women. It's not fair to trick straight people with the sex changes, thinking if you are a man or woman, some you can tell. But most transgendered don't tell you intill thier feelings are involved, and that's dead wrong.Stop trying to be something your not,and I mean changing your sexually.I had gay men flirt with me and I think it's wrong because I'm not gay and never planning to be ,so they need to stop trying to make the world gay,and they need to do what they DO!!.Then I get the women that think their men,and they are so volient. They try to hard to be TOUGH GUYS,because they always think a real man want's their women.I mean come on ,if she with a she/he ,the women don't want a real man, just a women that look like a man.And they are very over protective of their mate,I know alot of them.I don't care about the gay life they live ,it's just stop trying to be what you wasn't born with. Then some gay men rather have transexual's,but don't want a real women, what's up with that, they are confuse, but they won't admit to that. They know it's not right, that's way they try so hard to be the oppsite sex, they over do their acting.I don't have pitty for those situation,JUST BE GAY!!!STOP CONFUSING THE WORLD WITH THE ACTING,IT'S NOT COOL.Just my opinion-peace!!!

many people cant think of a reason other than what their religion says about it,and that says alot about the person
(the ones that have a problem with gays or transgendered)

religion is used to hate, always has and will continue as long as religion rules the land

Thats a good question. I too am straight and have no problem with gay people, but just as you I know people who do. It's just another form of prejudice.

I think it is a myriad of reasons from religion, to fear and ignorance, to the person is struggling with their own sexual identity. It is sad to be prejudice towards anyone - you really miss out on some wonderful people.

If you are not a Christian, you have no reason to be against homosexuality. Christians have no choice; they have to be against male homosexuality because the Bible forbids it in Leviticus 18:22, and 20:13. That's only male homosexuality. The Bible says nothing against female homosexuality. So, a woman can be a Lesbian and a good Bible Christian, I guess. Cool.

I think Nas said it best: "People fear what they don't understand, hate what they can't conquer, guess it's just a theory of man, became a monster..."

i think its more fear of the unknown or ignorance. some people also have religious beliefs so that's another reason why.
