Technically, he does in the 1980 short "Soup or Sonic". In the cartoon, Wile E. runs through a tunnel that gradually shrinks and emerges as mere inches tall. He is only able to grab the Roadrunner's leg as a result; he then flashes a sign saying, "Okay, wise guys, you always wanted me to catch him. Now what do I do?"

I've never seen it happen. The closest I ever saw was in the Tiny Toon Adventures movie "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," Willy was driving a delivery truck and runs over the Road Runner.

He did capture the line Runner in a unmarried comic strip, produced in 1980 by skill of author Chuck Jones. That movie, Soup or Sonic, became portion of a television particular called insects Bunny's Bustin' Out throughout. In that movie the Coyote shrinks to tiny length yet manages to snatch the line Runner's massive (to him) leg. regrettably the Coyote is style of a tiny insect to the fowl. He holds up an illustration to the target market: "ok sensible adult adult males, you regularly needed me to capture him. Now what do I do?"
