why does it cheer me up to buy new clothes when im feeling down?

probably because it takes your mind off your troubles for a little while..........
and we all like shopping, dont we!! lol

Clothes are always there for you when you need them; they never put you down. Clothes always make you look good and will never disappoint you. Clothes will never tell you that you are fat or ugly--they always make you feel beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Those are the reasons why buying clothes cheer you up.

I know exactly how you feel! I think it has something to do with the buzz of buying something new. You know you look good in it and can't wait to show it off to your friends and family. I can never resist a new pair of shoes. Retail therapy always puts a smile on my face! :-)

Because shopping takes your mind off what is getting you down and gives you a good feeling when your trying new clothes on and your looking good.

well shopping just drifts your mind. Esp clothes. You see the beauty in yourself and you can never think of what lets you down again. Even if you give a thought to it it will not bother you.

you are a women you are programed 2 spend money this makes you happy, if its the banks it makes you even happier and if its your husbands you'll be delirious!! it means u can have clothes for carpet in your bedroom and untold amounts of shoes boots etc spilling out of the wardrobes !

Me too. I think it's because we feel more confident when we wear nice ne clothes. We always think that they'll help us get that man, get that job or get that sale, and sometimes it works!
