If a black hole came to the earth, we could "see" it. We wouldn't see the black hole itself, but the gravity of the black hole would distort space so much it would act as a massive lens, bending light and magnifing what was behind it.

Black holes are detectable. The matter being drawn in to them emits powerful x-rays. Otherwise, how do you think astronomers know of their existence?

Also, why would we be afraid of a black hole now? After 4.5 billion years Earth has been here, what chance that this thing will come in our life times?

THE black hole? WHEN it comes to destroy the Earth?

Which black hole are you referring to? And WHEN is it supposed to come destroy the Earth? I haven't read or heard anything about this particular black hole that you are expecting.

Yes, it will have an accretion disk and give off tons of energy from the event horizon. We will definitely see it coming. Unless it steers towards us at the speed of light, which is basically impossible.

Ofcource it is not visible but we can "feel" it!! We can locate blackhole in space by the changes which it made in its path!!
So don't worry and sleep well!
