he says that he has strong feelings for me and that we should take it one day at a time. he has also told me that if she were to change he would give her another chance..should i hang in there or just let it go?

I'd let it go... especially since he said he would go back out with her if she changed. That is just too risky. You deserve better!

sounds full of crap. dump him, he would leave you in a heartbeat if he had the chance. it does you no good when he says that he would take her back if she would change. also how can he have strong feelings for you if he has feelings for her? his feelings for you should outweigh his for hers.
