The Simpsons. People both young and old appreciate it and I like it because it tackles so many subjects whilst still being exceptionally funny.

Ooh that's a toughie! Friends will always be a firm favourite of mine but some of those 80's shows are just too good not to mention. Saved By The Bell springs to mind and Mork and Mindy!! Also I never miss an episode of Without A Trace.

Overall, I would have to say MASH, but there have been some excellent episodes of Star Trek: Next Generation and even Scrubs is on its way to greatness :)

I guess it would depend upon when you ask me that question. I have lots of favorite shows that I would say were "the best". My picks would include Alias, Nip/Tuck, The Shield, Will & Grace, Sex & the City. I thought that they were/are very well written for television shows.
