If you are talking about Newcastle United, I will have to ask you to step outside sir.

We won the Fair's cup in 1969, so it might not be us, but we are open to lots of abuse, granted..

It boils down to either Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers. Both were strong in the 50s but haven't had much success for a long time.

Now there are some suggestions that the Fairs Cup was the Magpies last major trophy, however, one must remember that in the 60s, the Inter City Fairs Cup was no where near the current UEFA Cup (which commenced in 1972, I think).

You didn't get League runners-up or top teams from all over Europe competing for this. It was mainly a challenge among cities, and the criterion used was very liberal.

So it really brings us back to the 50s, for a trophy of some distinct value. Newcastle was really strong in those days as were Bolton, who might actually been the slightly better one.

But if you consider support and budget these days, obviously Newcastle are the 'massive club' that has had the barren run.

Ichi, I hope he/she wasn't talking about the Lads too!
Our (Newcastle United), time will come!
We may have a toughish draw in the Uefa Cup, But the Lads will shine!
H'Way the Lads!
(Poor Macams LOL)
The Massive club maybe Spurs, but they last won the FA Cup in the 60's wasn't it?
