My monitor at work on Dell PC blacks out every few seconds. Can only come back on if shutting off and back on. Moving mouse does not help. Had electrical outlets checked...changed systems and monitors 3 times...the problem continues. Sometimes the screen blacks out about every 15 seconds. IRM and anyone elese that's looked at it is stumpted...Suggestions please!!!!!

At this point I would think it would be caused by a faulty video card. If the video card is built into the motherboard than THAT IS THE PROBLEM. I have had many computer calls where the screen goes blank and changing monitors doesnt work.

Change a new video card and try that.

ok i got wats the problem ur using a crt monitor so most of the crt monitors contains part called lot as i got from ur idea its the lot which is gone just replace that it costs some 50$

It also could be going into stand by.Go to control pannel/apperance& themes/display/screensaver/ power and see if it is to go into stand by or shutdown mode,Good luck
