For harsh sports, do it at night when you ae not fasting. For international competions or championchips which time is scheduled during the day, they are allowed not to fast on that day although most of them would try to fast and play. It is an issue of priority, muslimsfirst priority is religion then they reschedule every thing accordingly.

they do sport like usual..
they only not allowed to drink n eat only at daylight.
usually they do eat before the sunrise for them to get not too tired on the day..
so for the pro sports people, they must get lot of energy during that meal so that they can recover then.
it surely hard to not drink after sports but that is the purpose for them to fasting, its somekind of test to them

Carry on with their sports like normal, simply that they cannot eat, drink, smoke, sex, during daylight hours. Pretty hard if you can't drink water after sport though.
