I have a crush on this guy and I have his owner's buisness card which has an email and a phone number. I want to find out if he is single. I don't know what to write in an email although his boss would know and it's her email...and if I call I don't want to sound stupid, and what is the proper way to ask his orentation?

In a place of business it is never a correct thing to do. Instead, just ask him out for a cup of coffee or lunch. Then you can ask him anything you want. But never at work.

Absolutely talk to nobody except the guy himself!
Call the business and ask to speak to your friend. Have whatever conversation you like with him or ask him out to coffee!
