Only if you back it up by voting in November. That's what really counts. It doesn't matter what other people think; it only matters that you vote according to what you believe is right and don't allow yourself to be confused by mindless propaganda.

We are always going to have divergent opinions that we feel strongly about. We have forgotten the art of civil political discourse though. Many people feel the need to state their opinions in ugly personal attack style. They resent anyone that feels differently.

Like him or not on a personal level, Bill Clinton has taken a wonderful approach in the Global Summit's he hosts. This year they raised over $7 Billion dollars (thus far) for serious work in addressing the worlds problems. People as diverse as Clinton, Laura Bush, Rupert Murdock and Barbara Streisand came together to get to work on these issues. The secret?

Find something we can agree on. You and I both think poverty, infant mortality and genocide is bad right? Regardless of what we may disagree on we probably share views on those issues. Bet we can find plenty of others to agree. Once people are working on some project to help with issues like that they can start talking about other issues, some of which they may not agree on. People who are working together may be a bit less hateful when having these discussions. It may not solve everything but it's a start.

Good luck and don't give up.

If you'll look at the candidates for most high political offices you will find that there are generations of that family who held office, so they are all the same! There's no reason to have an opinion because they all suck!

Yes that is how it is. But you got to believe in what you believe in and let people think what they will. Don't worry about what others think.
