Yes, depending on the type of fracture, you can walk on it. I walked on mine for 3 days before I found out it was broken. It hurt, was stiff, inflexible-couldn't bend it or rotate it or anything and swollen but I could still walk on it. If you think you broke it go get an x-ray, that's the only way you can know for sure.

You can walk on a fractured ankle. It is sore but you can do it. If the pain persists for more than a few hours then it is probably a break. The only way to tell is to have an Xray done. It is impossible to look at an ankle and say for sure if it is fractured.

Well i had a fractured ankle it hurts but walking on it no.
A fracture is like tiny bones broken in the ankle but it takes time to heal.
To me it hurts. Like almost a sprain ankle but not quit. Little more in it.
I took pain pills for awhile and it finally stopped hurting. At first when u get it it swollen and than it hurts bad.
I took pain med cine for1 week and it stop hurting after that it was ok.
I could limp but i need a brace for the ankle.

It hurts and it is swollen. So is a twisted ankle. Either way, you can but must not walk. At all. Or the damage can be permanent. Go to an emergency hospital for Xrays and follow their advice. You could end up with an ankle that gets twisted all the time, practically you won't be able to step on it unless you take care of it.

NO! I broke mine years ago and as soon as it happened I could not walk! This past summer I tripped and thought I sprained my ankle seriously. The next morning I woke up I could not walk on it, turns out I tore ligaments in my foot. That may be what you did if the pain is unbearable but you can still walk a little.

convinced, it really is plausible to stroll on a factured ankle. There are various sorts of fractures. the variety that would allow you to stroll on it really is maximum probable a Hairline.. it really is dealt with like a sprain. they many times furnish you with an air forged and crutches for some weeks yet I have basic many to in worry-free words wrap it and walk gently on it. even if that isn't the most proper theory

Depending on the severity of the fracture, it can just be sore, as in the case of a hairline fracture, or it can be a displaced fracture, in which case it would be excrutiatingly painful and you would not be able to bear weight on it at all.

If you truly have broken a bone ,you would have true difficulty walking because of the pain . However you could just crack a bone and still walk with difficulty . At any rate a simple Xray will show any injury . A severe sprain will cause similar symptoms .
