I have never been there in December so I don't know what it's like weather wise. I'm going down in the beginning of Dec and was curious?

I live in the Northern part of the state. The temps have been correctly stated. Our weather changes daily, one minute it's raining, the next we have long dry spells.. however, if you're concerned about what to pack,, I'd do the following.

Bring light pants/jeans for during the day. It's in the 80's now but we can expect maybe a 10 degrees difference. It's still pleasant to wear shorts/skirt/summer dress in the evening. Of course, bring a sweater, if you happen to be like me and get chilled from time to time, it will come in handy.

Not sure where you are from, but I can assure you this, there is no need to bring a heavy coat. I don't even own one and I've been here for years. Also I think my wardrobe consists of 3 long sleeved shirts. It's gets a bit more cold in January and February, but since your travel plans in December, you can likely get away with packing light. Good luck!

Florida In December

Well, you haven't stated about what place in Florida you are talking about. It could be warm with tempuratures in the 80's. Or we could get a "cold front", which means it will rain for a day or two and then get cool with tempuratures in the 60's or 70's. You never know. But the weather is dryer in December, not as much humidity. For more information: http://www.alwaysonvacation.com

Pretty much like a summer day up in the North land.
Low humidity, low temp in the 50's and highs in the upper 70's, low 80's.
It can get into the low 30's, for a few days and highs around 50's but it doesn't last long. That is for SW Florida.
You'll love it, us Floridians are cold.

Pack as if your were going to Maine or Minnesota in May. You will probably have warm sunny days, but it IS winter so be prepared for the possibility of wet, windy, cold days and nights in the low 40s. In tourist areas, shorts and tee shirts in the daytime are accepted almost everywhere. For nightlife, men will need shirts with collars. If you want fine dining, dress as you would anywhere else.
