don't worry about it. If you are eating as you did before (with and addedd 250 calroies a day for the baby) you will be fine. Enjoy the time to relax about things like this. I bet you'll be a cute little mommy and you'll be back to your old self after the baby is born (give yourself a couple of months to recover). DON"T try to restrict yourself or lose weight when pregnant because the baby suffers from it first and you can cause major problems!
Maybe do some more research and understand that you blood volume DOUBLES whenyou are pregnant...it is not fat! It is bringing nourishment to your baby. There is lots and lots of extrra fluid building up in your body. You won't beleive how much you pee the first few days after you have the baby...it's like you've sprung a leak! Just relax and enjoy..soon you will feel such nice strong movements you won't think of anything else but that little baby swimming around inside!
I had cancer and had to have my uterus removed and I treasure every moment I remember of this time because I'll naver have the chance to do it again..it is only a few months out of your life. You owe it to your baby and yourself to enjoy and relax.

Your child should be the most important thing right now. Yes, you will gain weight, more than you like but don't forget you are eating for two. After the baby you will immediately lose a lot of weight though not all so don't be so worried about gaining weight because if you watch your weight too much, then you begin to unconsciously avoid some meals and then you will endanger your child's life. I am 8mos and 3wks and I weight 172lbs and the best part about that is I don't look it and the doctor says it's mostly baby cuz I usually weight 140 average. I sometimes get worried about gaining weight and not getting stretch marks(luckily I don't have any) but as long as you remain active and excercise lightly you will be fine.

You are 18 weeks pregnant, so hopefully you have been seeing a doctor. Ask HER what the normal range of weight gain is at this stage of pregnancy. Quit being vain and think about the child you are carrying. Think about therapy to help you deal with your obsession. Your children deserve that.

I was 110 lbs when I got pregnant with our first child and I gained 65lbs. Now with my second child I was at about 160lbs and right now at 22 weeks I am at 171 lbs.

Because you are little you should expect to gain more weight than a heavier person. Please don't be obsessed with your weight during pregnancy. Please be obsessed with eating correctly. Your energy is going to your baby. Every body is different so nobody on the computer can tell you how much weight you should gain- only your doctor.

Here is a chart to how many pounds an AVERAGE woman might gain. However being obsessed is never a good idea.

It's different for everybody. Stop obsessing, it's not healthy for you or your baby for you to be thinking so much about weight.
