If you want to send postage so that someone in Thailand can answer your letter, buy an "International Reply Coupon" at the post office in your home country. That is good to mail a letter back to that country from Thailand or any other country in the world. You could buy unused stamps from a stamp dealer if you know the correct rate, but that might be expensive - the IRC is much easier!

Since you are not a collector and plan to use them then you must be in Thailand. You can buy Thai postage stamps at any post office in Thailand. Most hotels will also sell them as a convenience to their guests.

Thailand has some of the world's most beautiful postage stamps, by the way.
