1) Bring Foley to justice;
1.5) make sure the pages are okay (sexual molestation at any age can be a horrific and traumatic experience),
2) make sure the integrity of the page program remains strong, 3)punish those who may have known about Foley abusing pages (only if the knew he was abusing them; overly friendly e-mails, while wierd, hardly count as abuse; sleeping with them, however, is another story...) and covered it up, regardless of their rank (Denny Hastert, I'm lookin' at you...).

The most important thing is none of the above. The most important thing is to protect the young people in the page program. Part of that is bringing Foley to justice but the main point is to protect those young people. An investigation is not playing the "blame game" (a cop out term if ever I heard one). This must be investigated to find out why certain officials knew what was happening and did nothing to (again) PROTECT THE YOUNG PEOPLE INVOLVED. Anyone who failed to take action after learning of the problem failed those young people. That's not playing any game that is demanding accountability, which unfortunately is viewed as political game playing if the wrong party is in the hot seat.

Forget what ever it is you think should be done to perverts like Foley. For the politicians filling his seat in congress is the only thing that's important. This fool has already started the clean up by blaming his perversion on problems he doesn't even have. by the time he get to a court for anything he would have already rebuilt his rep and know one will care. He'll get off with a wrist slap and since he wont be a politician he will have more time to seek out little boys to molest.

i do no longer see it as a conspiracy. a million. Foley hurts them extra with their base. it is not common to declare ethical floor whilst it rather is revealed that your management is ignoring signs and indicators that a million of your members is a infant molestor. it rather is unlucky for them - if that they had taken action years in the past, they'd have nonetheless had a GOP in place appointed by a GOP governor. 2. Woodward closes somewhat some arguments for GW, yet those few that have been nonetheless helping his claims and arguments that Iraq wasn't a monumnetal mistake in the previous is in basic terms no longer replaced by Woodward's e book. 3. it rather is being somewhat in basic terms revealed that lots of the GOP have been conscious of Foley's previous indescretions. that's the subject this is taking carry, no longer in basic terms that a GOP member became a infant molestor. 4. The Dems problems with Iraq have not been convincing human beings it became a mistake taken from data that became known to be undesirable, or that it rather is being poorly ran. the subject is they have not got a sparkling reaction of what they'd do now. they have somewhat some sturdy innovations, and given the present intel that we are loosing a conflict with out bring about sight, notably much any decision would be sturdy, yet they could get a majority of them to agree on that decision.

The number of years he improperly sent messages to pages without being noticed.
Who is supposed to be looking out for these young pages? If they were older it would be different, but 16 & 17 year olds need guidance and protection.

Investigate him and bring criminal charges if proper. The bigger fish here is that chump Hastert. If he knew of this and turned his back, then he needs to go as well. I get the distinct feeling were just beginning to scratch the surface of this horrid affair.
