The group you have alluded to is VERY conservative (they had ties with Al Gore many many years ago, before they went crazy, and have since latched onto Christian Conservative groups who are not very happy to have them on their side), so perhaps you should do a little research before you try to make people feel bad about something that has nothing to do with them.
This group normally protests against dead soldiers because technically the soldiers are supporting a government that allows homosexuality to be practiced. That does not sound very liberal now does it? They are protesting against the Amish funeral because they say the Governor of Pennsylvania is too LIBERAL. Again, perhaps you should check these things out before you say these awful things.
No responsible conservative leader or pundit has aligned himself with these people, and certainly no responsible liberal has either. I think what you are trying to do is EXTREMELY unChristian.

There are a group of ultraconservative, fundamentalist Christians, quite small by the way who go around protesting at the funerals of soldiers who died in the war because they feel that by allowing gays in the military God is punishing us with the death of our soldiers. They are protesting the deaths in Pennsylvania because the governor approved a law prohibiting protests at funeral, because of this group.
Please, this is not something you can blame on libs, if anything at all its the opposite, the far far opposite,
