Try giving her orajel or tylenol before she falls asleep. she cries in her sleep because of the pain and discomfort. she may be sleeping a lot because she might be going through a growth spurt. as long as she is eating fine, there should be nothing to worry about.

It's amazing how teething can change the pattern of any baby. Don't worry, this is all normal. She could also be sleeping mor because of a growth spurt. Teething can cause strange eating and sleeping habits, and lots of fussiness. Hang in there, freeze a teething ring to give her when she gets fussy. She'll get closer to back to normal when her teeth start popping through.

It's NOT colic. She would have outgrown that by now. I did the washcloth trick- and that worked. I use mesh feeder bags with pickles inside- and she loves those. Tylenol every 4 hours until she turned 6 months old and then it was Children's Motrin. That lasts longer- 6-8 hours. You have to wait until she turns 6 months though in the U.S.A. to do it. Other than that- I'd watch for an ear infection and see how it goes. Does she cry more if she is laid on her back? The pressure in the ears if it's an ear infection will cause her to cry harder for an ear infection. Keep an eye out and take her in for a "tune-up" if that's the case or if you suspect something like that is happening. BATHS are soothing too- works wonders. Good luck- ours is cutting her molars and is currently nursing and it's so hard on them. Good luck!

IT is normal when they are teething to have their whole world turn upside down. As long as she is eating and drinking just let it go. Once the teeth pop out she will do better. Right now her teeth pain is probably waking her up in the middle of the night. Just make sure you are giving the right amount of tylenol and switch it every other time with motrin. If the orajel doesn't work try dabbing your finger in whiskey and rubbing it on her gums, it will not harm her and the alcohol in it will num the gums. This is the only thing that worked for my kids. Also let her chew on cold objects.

Honey, it's all because of the teething. She is in pain and that's no fun. So be nice and loving to her. I know there a lot of great remedies out there to help ease the teething pain. Keep trying them until you find the one that works. I know it may sound funny, but my mama always gave me just atouch of wisky. Don't laugh it is true. A lot of old timers did this for thier children before all the over the counter medicines came out.

Is she teething? Teething is painful and can cause a break in sleeping and crying. I would wait talk to the doctor and find out what he suggest, but if it is teething, try soothing her gums with orajel and cool washcloths and a bit of Tylenol. I feel sorry for you mamma, if she is teething, this is going to be a tough faze, teething is no fun! For you or the baby.
Good luck.

Extra sleep often means a baby is going through a growth spurt, and growing hurts.
Being a mom is hard the first time. Find out if there is a visiting nurses department in your county. Normally they only work with the elderly, but where I used to live they also went to first time parents and parents who request it to show them the stages babies with go through once a month. They had amazing sheets of what to expect month by month from my baby and would answer questions I had just like yours.
I don't know if they charge where you are, but they didn't charge me.
Honestly, it sounds like she's growing, but if she starts having more problems, definitely call your doctors office again. (I would anyway to see if your doctor got the message.)

I freaked out too about that age my daughter slept once for nearly 14 hours and she wouldn't even eat. I called the doc and took her in and she was just tired. Doctor said she was probably having a growth spurt and it wears them out like crazy. Plus her crying in her sleep could be her teeth hurting. I dont know about that yet, my daughter is a year old and not a single tooth in her mouth! So anyways, good luck, I am sure she is fine!

Probably teething or a growth spurt or both. Mine cried in their sleep a lot when they were teething. That is probably al it is. You may want to try to keep her up for a while so she sleeps 2nite. Good luck.
