Do what you want...Just be careful...Look for the little lock down on your browser. Just know where you going and what you are doing.....Stay alert. If you want to buy something buy it from and well know place.....Yahoo shopping....ebay (yet stay advised). Just be careful.....alot of mean people

You just have to be careful about what you do while you're on the internet. You never give out your SS number,f or obvious reasons. If you buy something and need to give your credit card info and things like that, make sure it is a secure site and that you clean up your temporary files and cookies afterward. You shouldn't answer emails from people who don't know - especially if they have an attachment. I play games on the net all the time and have never gotten a bug. I just make sure I run my anti spyware afterward in case someone gave me a bug. You can get a free version of Ad-Aware that works well and only takes a few minutes to install and run.

I pretty much do anything I want on the computer - with a few limitations. Be smart and you'll be fine.

You can play games, just choose your game site carefully like Pogo.com. They are great with games and have a lot of games to play.
You can download items but you should have a virus protection on it before you download anything.
You just need to have your computer protected.
You can read emails but if it is from someone you do not know then you shouldnt open it.

Items to have on computer,
Avast (great program) Free to
spyware and addware programs,
firewall protection.

Just watch out for phishing sites (these are sites that look exactly like the page you want to be at but as soon as you log in you are giving them your id and password.

Example. I just received an email stating it was from ebay about an item I have for sale. It seemed someone sent me a message through ebay and said to click here to respond.. Looked exactly like Ebay but it was not.

You are right. I just started to lighten up a little bit. I'll give my credit card but only on secure locations. I have downloaded a couple of time trailed games but as soon as I finish playing I uninstall them. I'm constantly having my computer scan for viruses and spam and anything else that can harm my computer.

Do it all with common sense. If you are ordering something from Amazon.com, they it is probably okay to use your credit card. But don't give it to some guy on eBay. Just make an effort to figure out if you can trust the source of the download, email, game, etc.

have fun, but be careful. There are a lot of bad sites. Download AVG anti-virus, it's free and super spy ware, it's free too. If you are on a banking site make sure you see the little gold lock on the bottom bar. :):):)

Make sure you have really good virus protection. I have norton and that works really well. Keep it active and let it upgrade on its own. If you play it smart and don't give out personal information, you should be fine. Be smart about it.

This is my third computer. My mom has my old Imac. It's just safety precautions. But you do have a point. I don't feel that way.
