Technically you are like WATER and FIRE...since your sign is a water sign and his is a fire sign....think of it this way: water puts out a fire right? Well thats how your two personalities mesh. He is a Leo so he has a very explosive/aggressive personality, where as you are a Scorpio so you have a more undercover/behind the scenes way of thinking...and since you two are both very very intense signs there are a LOT of fireworks. Let me tell you it will take a LOT of work to have this relationship work, but it can be done::
both of you will need to be willing to put up with each others traits--both positive and negative---and you will both need to understand you cannot change one another.
