No it wouldnt. But beside that, banning religion would only bring more war and possibly millions of deaths.
An anti-religion (as you suggest) would be a religion in itself, trying to impose its views on the rest of the world. This is probably the WORST thing we could do.
We can't even show a picture of Mohammad without countries going crazy, and now you're talking about telling them they can't even practice? - secularism is a good part of the reason the west is hated already.

LOL, you've got it reversed. If anything, religions will be the ones doing the banning. And the war mania existed long before religions had been concocted to fuel it.
No, it has never worked and won't work... What governing body do you imagine could issue a ban & have people on opposite sides of the world actually care? Australians don't care what the Iranian Mullahs have banned. The Taliban don't care what the German government allows. Folks in Texas couldn't care less what's banned by the government of Ethiopia... and so on...

NO. "Religion is the opium of the people" as Marx said and he was right. Banning religion would simply bring more demented people who can read but can't think critically into the struggle. The Bible was apt for it's time and in many ways still is, as is the Qu'ran and the Torah but not always. People are always selective. For example, people will always use the "man shall not sleep with man" from Leviticus to condemn homosexuality but forget that the same book also bans the eating of shellfish and pig ALL of which were punishable by death. Religion is a comfort to many and a weapon for others but there is not much rationality in it. religion can be a tool for good and evil, as with anything, like Einsteinian physics which gave us both space flight and the nuclear bomb.

It would be nice if it would, but it will not. It is hard to remove religion sector of a society. To many people, it is all that they live for.
Religion is old, very old, it is not a creation of the Jews with the beginning of the Bible, it pre-dates that by eons. There is evidence enough in Neanderthal grave sites that they had a vision of an after life (eschatology). They buried their dead in a particular arrangement and after time enough for the body fall into dust, they would dig the bones out and paint them with Ochre (red) to simulate blood and renewed life. Many of the American Indians did about the same thing.
Archaeologists look for things like burial processes to determine whether or not there was the existence of a religious attitude amongst the people.
The present problem with war, insofar as I am concerned, has to do with the collision of two strong religious and governmental institutions. There are, of course, collisions of religious and governmental thought in the various denominations of Christianity with the conservative fundamental Christians of the US and the more liberal wings of Christianity. Conservative religion wants to control both the government and the religious institutions whereas the more liberal elements of Christianity want to leave those matters to the individuals rather than nationalizing them.
In the Muslim world thigns are quite different. The state religion in most of them is Islam and the laws are adapted from Sharia to follow the Islamic beliefs. What you are seeing today in Iraq with the Shiites and the Sunnis battling each other in a religious civil war is merely a difference, something like denominations, in which denomination is superior and should be in control.

No, because banning it would be against the constitution which protects the right of every human being to have the freedom of religion. It will just cause more uproar.

Yes it may. Do you think it is viable even to think of banning. There will be more unrest in the world. Only understanding each other and respecting the sentiments of all the religions may be useful for your idea.

No, it will just force the Christians, Jews, and Muslims to unite in their war against the non-believers and infidels. Actually, that probably would bring peace to the Middle East, but it would get ugly here in America

No, religion is used as an excuse. You cannot change the way people think or have been raised to believe.
